In the sport of boxing everybody relate to the fighters, Referee, Announcers, Doctors, The Ring Girls, Matchmaker, and of course The Promoter.

Well is another nucleus behind close door, is like they said in the ARMY a Private, someone who do all the dirty job, without mind it, and always put 100% effort on it. Why? because he knows the compensation in the future will be good.

Booking Agent
are between a matchmaker and fighters, most of the time the fighters, or managers pay their fees between 5 to 10 percent.

They spend most of the day on the phone, computer, gyms looking for fighters, and contacts to improve their network, plus getting corrected by the matchmaker but at the same time motivate the fighters and always let them knows the importance of staying in the gym , you never know when one of those last minutes fights change the fighters world.

Everyone knows that they are an important keys in the business, by allowing the Matchmakers organized other matches or an upcoming show. A good B.A target fighters, check the fighters record, made the call, print a Fight Fax and after collecting all data then presented to the matchmaker.

However it is sad how some Managers and Trainers treat them. Once the show is over or their fighters loose is over for the Booking agent, some Managers denied that it was a verbal agreement, others out of the blue have amnesia or others change their phone numbers, and the most common used by them is I DON'T NEED A BOOKING AGENT, I been in the business for long time.

One thing they don't realize it is Booking Agent become Matchmakers once they master and perfect their abilities of using the boxing network, some goes to work for big promoters or others stay as freelance. Remember what comes around goes around.
